Book Your IELTS Today!
Performing an IELTS test booking is a relatively straightforward and easy process. When you think you’re ready to sit through the test, you have to pick a date and register for an IELTS test booking. There are over 1,600 locations around the world in 150 countries, and there are roughly 48 tests every year. However, the number of spots available on a particular day can have a limit, so it’s best to book as soon as possible.
Step One – Find Your Closest IELTS Testing Centre
The first thing you have to do is figure out which testing centre is closest to your location. This link lets you put in your country or territory to start. It’ll take you to another page where you can select your city, state, territory or region. Once you find the location, you can click “book now” to register for your IELTS exam booking.
Step Two – Register for the IELTS Test
You can register for your chosen exam online and pay your IELTS exam fee. You can also download and print an application form, fill it out and submit it to your test centre of choice. You also have to provide proof of your identity, and this is the same document you’ll bring with you and present on the day of the exam.
The IELTS price will vary slightly depending on which country you want to take it in. However, Australia’s IELTS cost is A$340 per test. If you don’t pay the fee when you go through your IELTS test booking, you can’t reserve your spot.
Step Three – Confirm Your IELTS Test
Once the centre confirms your application and processes it, they’ll send you a written confirmation. This confirmation will have the time and date of your test. Usually, the Writing and Speaking portions of the test are on the same day. If this isn’t possible due to extenuating circumstances, you’ll have to come back within seven days to finish it.
Tips For Your IELTS Examination
Ideally, you want to arrive a little early to your testing centre because this will give you time to get through the registration process and into your test-taking area before it starts. Make sure you bring your correct identification documents. If you don’t, they won’t let you take the IELTS exam.
Once you arrive at the testing centre, try to stay calm and relaxed. Make sure you ask any questions you may have before the test starts. Take a deep breath and take the exam one question at a time. Read all of the instructions before you begin a new section, and pay close attention to your work. These things can help you have a successful IELTS test.
