This means that if you are planning to apply for a temporary graduate visa, you will need to meet the new minimum English language standard, which is a 6.5 IELTS score.
However, the overall score is not the criteria. Your score in each component of the IELTS test—reading, writing, speaking, and listening—also holds significance. Along with the total of 6.5, you also require a minimum score of 5.5 in each section.
Lastly, another notable change regarding TGVs is the validity window for English language test scores. Previously, test scores were valid for up to three years. However, under the updated requirements, scores must be obtained within one year immediately preceding the visa application.
Equivalent Standards to IELTS
